PIRATE ADVENTURE ON THE CONNECTICUT RIVER:
Rose Hill is proud to sponsor this event FREE for kids. Come join us as we set sail to find Captain Kidd’s lost treasure. Captain Kidd was a real pirate that sailed the Connecticut River. We will spend time learning about him and “hopefully” find the treasure he threw over board many years ago. We will also learn about various wildlife. During this adventure each kid will receive a bandana, eye patch, and treasure map. They will surely find pirate treasure that they will take with them and to celebrate their victory, songs and mugs of root beer. Our Pirate Adventure on the Connecticut River runs every Thursday, beginning June 2nd from 11:00- 12:30pm, please see Slipawayrivertours.com for more information and to register (space is limited)
TOWN WIDE PIRATE ADVENTURE:
In conjunction with our Pirate Adventure on the Connecticut River, we will also be sponsoring a town wide pirate adventure. Kids will spend the summer visiting local stores to receive a stamp in their pirate log book. Once they fill the log book, please mail it to Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 so we can send them prizes! (Be sure to include your child’s name and address) There is no purchase necessary, but hopefully you will show your support to all of these wonderful local businesses. You may pick up your pirate log book at Rose Hill’s administration building beginning Memorial Day weekend or at one of our supporting businesses.
